| wanted eight cell holder Please help
Since i don't trust my electronics and have just robbed the bank of england,so money is no object. I am looking an eight cell holder for two independent vr3,s and two complete independent controllers. ps weight is no object as i have just installed a lift on the rib, as i also will be carring a backup mk16, just incase.
where do we draw the line at redundancy, Hand sets that talk to each other and switchover just seem to add more problems then they are worth. a system with one side is a meter only and hud/ the other is controller seems to be the safest. the only common item between them is the cells. a short that will completely kill all the cells will only come from a complete flood of the electronics in a badly designed system, but lets add the vr3 for backup incase this happens. beside i have all those fivers hanging around now.
We seem to think that by adding more electronics we are safer, what ever happened to a bottom timer and a max depth peg with a set of tables. remember you are susposed to be down with a buddy. where is his computer? if you dont trust a controller to run with only one cell why would you use a one cell vr3 as a bail out o2 meter if both handsets fail. can you saw scr
no insult to any of the controller manufactures, but adding deco to the controllers and saying that it works fine with the ten or fifteen beta units you have out there is crazy. buy your deco from some one that builds deco computers, you can not compute deco in you head like you can run a unt manually. bring a set of tables the best piece of redundant equipment is between your ears, let us try to use it
