| Re: Our compact plate for PRISM head and basket Thanks for the look guys. Sorry I havn't replyed sooner, been busy with work(what a drag).
Andy, We have threaded bolts through the plate and secured with loctite, so they won't back out. For travel we machined some delrin plugs to cover the threads to protect them. We haven't had to travel wih them in luggage yet so i am not sure how well they will be protected, but i am not that worried about it, as the back plate fits under the unit reversed, and all still fits in over head carry on luggage. As for the cyl, when dry the don't slip at all. We placed some innertube over the ss where the tanks will contact to protect metal to metal and slippage.i am not sure how they will act when wet though as we still haven't had the unit in the water, but i will let you know after the trial fly.
Luke, thanks for the look as well. Yes the strap does go through the slots as Stefan stated, good eye Stefan. The bucket is secured just as with the black stock plate. We machined a saddle and placed the original PRISM pad over it for cushion. Took two tries, but works well as is tight.
I'll try to post more pics below. Thanks agian for the input. |
