| Because the hoses are convoluted and ribbed there is loads of space for gunky liquid to remain in them.
If you want to completely remove moisture from the hoses, remove them, stretch them to pull the ribbing flat, spin, and repeat.
Don't worry too much about it though, because you were doing your skills you will have had much more gunk in your hoses than you will in the future.
