They are identifying and mapping all the sites on the bottom both for their own use and eventually will provide said information to recreational divers who visit. There was a news report floating around a couple of weeks ago that stated their intentions. Actually the lake sounds interesting as there are supposed to be entire towns, an ore processing plant, and number of vehicles including a downed bomber sitting on the bottom at various depths. If memory serves me they are starting mapping at what remains of the processing plant.
