Re: Removing hose fittings

I'm trying to open the hose fittings on either end of my inhale hose to replace it. I have a hose tool from Narked at 90 to hold the inner fitting, but when I turn the rear collar, it rotates around the hose along with the two half collars underneath it and doesn't unscrew. I can't see any way to hold the two half collars in place to stop them rotating.

Any ideas?

Best way I found was to use the hot water trick for about 5 min., THEN place it in the freezer for about an hour. Take it out and put a hair dryer to the locking nut for a minute or two (low heat only). The water stays frozen on the inside of the 1/2 nuts/hose and holds it so the locking collar can twist off.
