Hello SBFN, welcome to RBW. Having spent lots of time in the water with sharks, I'd have to say that my bubbleless ECCR allowed me to blend in with the surroundings better and the mere fact that we CCR divers are large will cause curiosity and bring the sharks in closer, probably more of a territorial thing than anything else. I don't think the elecrical field that ECCRs generate is really that much, my unit runs on one 9 volt battery. And as has been pointed out already, cameras rerquire much more juice to run and seem to have some bad effect on some types of sharks, but not always.
As for the SA Inpso dudes, I think the big yellow case might have more to do with it. I hope none of them are fat as well. Gives new meaning to the phrase "Yellow Box O' Death".
