Would be VERY unpleasant if you got a caustic cocktail, NaOH is very soluble and very caustic - the reaction turns the fat in your tissues into soap. Also adding water to NaOH generates lots of heat (you make a solution by adding NaOH to water & it still gets very hot) so you could have a lovely mixture of caustic solution and hot steam in your inhale hose - lovely!!!
