Inspiration -very good well distributed unit and lots of support and parts, I have traveled round the world with them, dive them over 300 ffw in frigid Lake Superior or taken them to Chuuk. If you take care of the yellow box it will take good care of you. I don't have much sympathy for the whining about inspo electronics, most cases I've seen are due to use or misuse.

Vision electronics, they are great from my experience...still getting used to them so I'm not an expert, just a fan. I see issues on Rebreather World and can't say I've owned any piece of complicated dive gear that hasn't had issues?

VR3- I've gone through most of the bugs; buttons, battery caps, etc. sent back forth from UK to US. Still dive them, just don't like the small numbers and I don't think much of the new VPM integration - just put your old unit on 50% conservatism and save the few hundred! Personally I like the size of numbers (bigger screen) and RGBM of Explorer if you can get a unit that is not in perpetual return to service in Florida. GM takes care of the units, and I have had very good luck with the units, but damn the customers that have units that fail trip after trip???

Meg with Hammerhead - well bad combination. I would choose the Meg with the new Shearwater electronics, or just deal with the apex or hope that some day over the rainbow that they will ever upgrade to new apex 3. The hammerhead works, as I’ve experienced on the optima, but not my first choice. Mom told me if I didn't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything....long pause......

Shearwater is some of the most intuitive electronics I've tried.

Get a rebreather and go diving, learn about rebreathers by diving them and then get another and learn more....and don't forget all the fun - rebreathers Rock!
