I would definately vote for the Meg. The difference in construction is substantial. I understand the geographical issues, but I doubt you'll have the return issues with the Meg. Rather than the Hammerhead I would investigate Shearwater, simple, loop integrated, much better battery performance, integrated deco, one price takes you all the way to trimix and the buttons don't fall off.
