I
nearly did my first Dive Show without buying anything.
Fell at the last hurdle by buying 6 x double-enders @ £1 each!
Damn.
Very interested to see DecoChek's evolution into a dive profile generator rather than a dive profile checker. I've got a copy and will try and jot down the main points later. Handles CCR as well as OC, nice Slate function, nice saturation graphing and the profile is apparently based on a man-tested algorythm rather than a theoretical algorythm. Shows issues such as ICD and it's nice to be able to tweak the profile and see what happens.
Quiet show. Nice to catch up with people. Looking at the entry fee and cost of parking, I'm starting to wonder what the show is for?
Most people I knew were there only to meet up with old friends and see what's new. I wonder if something could be done more informally than a Dive Show where the big manufacturers turn up with a few units to try-dive and everyone else comes for a piss up?
The £17 it costs to go to the NEC dive show would go a long way anywhere else.
