Ok this is a first post so how are ya'll doing.....
Having just returned from a weekend of diving the Gulf of Mexico out of Pensacola (great trip)...from time to time my back goes out due to carrying all that OC gear,so I'm thinking maybe a Rebreather would be less in the long run...I would be happy I believe with a SCR as a CCR is just more than my small brain cares to fool with....so say how much does say a Dolphin weigh ready to dive, and how long on one scrubber fill will I get as a average. I only have limited knowledge of RB's.....thanks...

no doubt, our backs are happier hauling 13 cf tanks around instead of 80's. for the kind of diving i do in particular, shore and kayak expedition, the amount of back breaking gear hauling has dropped tremendously. Since we used to go to remote places where air fills were hard to find, we used to take 6-12 AL 80's with us. Now we take 4, 13cf steels and 1 AL 80 of O2 and 1AL 80 of dilluent... It's not just the springs in my back that are happier. ;~)
