| Re: Here we go again,The Halcyon HID is dead again I had AUL torches for years, never had a problem apart from when one launched itself into a wall during a car crash and it shattered. So I replaced it with a used Halcyon Pro 14 HID that was up for sale at the time. What a piece of crap. It switches itself off at comedy moments, such as when my rebreather decided to flood or after carrying a load of kit to a cave entrance, it leaks (I've changed the o-rings, the switch boot and tried potting the cable and gland, still nothing helps) and as Mark says, the stainless screws and catches are rusting (despite generally being used in fresh). I only bought it because it was cheap but I'd never touch Halcyon kit again based on this.
