Re: K1 project page INCLUDING publically-available files

Its 6" DR11 PE3408 pipe. About $7/foot from a place out in Pennsylvania (and they WILL sell cut pieces - they had no problem shipping me a 6' piece, which can go UPS.) (HDPE pipe distributor and HDPE pipe fabrication specialists.)

5.349" nominal ID, 6.625" nominal OD. ~.6" wall thickness. Damn near indestructable, yet it takes a tap reasonably well (for the feed of exhale gas); the thinner wall stuff would likely have a problem with seal integrity on that.

Top and bottom lid pieces (two) are made from Delrin; the bottom scrim is also Delrin, all for strength reasons (the bottom scrim is bolted to the bottom of the can). The top scrim is made from HDPE. Sheet materials from McMaster.

A "full fill" is calculated out to be right around 5 to 5-1/2 lbs of Spherasorb. The pin points are being set for a "full fill" (about 1" below the bottom of the sensor carriage when completely filled up) and a "half fill", roughly 3lbs, for times when I'm going to go do a couple of recreational, no-deco dives in the <130' range - which I do a lot around here.
