Re: quick connect for O2 hose to solenoid

Peter,

Steven just shipped a bunch of parts for me as I am planning to do either or both:
  • in-line shut-off valve to isolate solenoid jammed open.
  • QC on O2 feed hose.
Definitely will implement the shut-off valve, but still thinking about the benefit-risk of QC on O2 feed to solenoid.

Unless I could place it in such a manner that I could reconnect u/w if accidentally disconnect, I might skip it.

Still thinking...
I'm not too worried about reconnecting. I would not reconnect under water since that would bring salt water into the solenoid. I'd rather fly the unit manually. I'm more worried about the QC getting disconnected and either of the connections stuck in an open position. That would either cause water entry (solenoid) or deplete your O2 supply. DrMike mentioned this problem about the GCS system in another thread.
