Rebrether Testing - Call for assistance/ donations

Greetings:

I will build a 1 ATA testing tank in Stuttgart, Germany and invite participation of anyone interested. Goal is to establish a mirror location in US.

Mission: Test and evaluate CCR and SCR life-support systems and support research and development to promote safe rebreather diving worldwide.

This will be a voluntary non-profit organization supported by donations of time, expertise, materials, and funds. Test data will be freely available to participants, and to the general public at cost. Testing standards, protocols, test results, equipment inventories, financial receipts and expenditures will be published and available to all participants.

Commercial sponsorship and participation is welcome. One aspect of the mission is research and development, and confidentiality becomes an issue when associated with commercial endeavors. To not exclude a significant segment of the community, the organization will support confidential commercial research and development by prior arrangement.

Requested assistance follows:

Internet host to enable e-communication, collaboration, and host electronic library. (request made to Rebreather World).
Computer person to contribute programming expertise.
Computer person to contribute hardware software interface expertise.
Physiologist (any former Dive Med Officers out there?).
Lawyer to advise on liability issues.

Hardware:
Tank, bracketry, fabrication assets (me). I have a bunch of Makrolon, 6mm aluminum and 1/2" aluminum tooling plate, fasteners, etc.
Physical location (me). And I have spare room for several participants to stay without charge.
Computer to drive testing equip and collect data (me).
Water quality and lighting (me).

Need donations or funds to acquire following equip:
The reciprocal breathing drive will be via servo or stepper driven bellows. Driven with Gecko or other board using quadrature encoding the motor will drive a bellcrank, Acme or ball screw, programmed to follow desired inspiration and expiration profile and frequency.
O2 measurement, consumption (simulated using flame).
CO2 feed and measurement.
Moisture introduction.
Static and dynamic pressure and breathing loop flow measurement.
Water refrigeration.
Canister temp measurement.

Honest brokerage of funds and donations - the books would be online, freely available to participants.

Note that all of the above is open for suggestion/ improvement. Actions speak louder than words.
