Miko: Before you consider the BG upgrade, be advised that in that mode, your total time to the surface is not displayed. For that reason, I never run my VR3 in BG mode. Instead, I got a mask with gauge readers. That works the best for me.
On many dives, I do plan a defined BT and know my run time before hand. However sometimes if I'm not too cold and bailout gas is not a problem, I prefer to wing it.
You can disable the BG mode if it IS installed so perhaps it is an option for some. Peter |
