Re: PADI touting CCRS?

I was quite surprised with the article, in a good way. I believe it's awesome for them to do it and help educate tons of dive professionals that don't really understand CCRs (most professionals I have spoken to in my life know what RBs do, but not many of them know the difference of SCR, eCCR, mCCR, etc, and they lack the knowledge of the basic functioning of RBs).
On the other hand, I'm not sure the padi/dsat system for becoming tec instructor is the best when applied to CCRs (you can apply for a lot of stuff at padi). BUT, I am sure if they do it, they will have a really good program with a nice text book, set of tables, videos, etc.
The article is Prism focused because most people at the headquarters are trained on the prism. There is a quite active course director who is a prism IT, so I guess it was just a matter of opportunity.

cheers,

Zé.
