I also use the human version in my loop. I try to rinse the hoses and counterlungs out well, but must admit I'm not as thorough as ScubaDadMiami when it comes to cleaning out the head.
Sometimes I slightly taste a little bit of it, but it is never too strong and it never makes me feel ill. In fact, I've always kinda liked the taste - it tastes clean.... maybe my potty mouth just needs the washing out
I think I remember reading somewhere that it is best to rinse with warm water.
