OK had a closer look at a Boris hose today. It's definitely a spiral wound smooth bore polyurethane tube with a nylon cover (the fabric bit). The end connectors seal as the spiral has ben picked out and ground back to leave just smooth hose. The nylon covers have rubber bits on the end that the hose clamp presses down on- the hose clamp is just a bigger version of the AP Valves connector found on the end of their corrugated hoses with the split collar. |
