Re: Pocket "allocation"

I organize by priority and frequency of use. I put things I will likely need so that I can get to them fastest: they are placed on top and on my forward bungee in the pocket. I put things I will use less often or those that it won't matter as much if it takes a bit longer to access below and/or on the rear bungee.

Left pocket (bottom--lowest priority--to top): Emergency signal flare, two packets of water. On top of this and on the rear bungee: emergency reflector mirror, extra pee valve bolt, double ender, Dive Alert signal horn. On the forward bungee: two spools.

Right pocket: On bottom, emergency laser signal light canister, two water packets on top. On rear bungee, PPO2 tables, emergency slate to clip to lift bag with message, Wetnotes. On forward bungee: backup mask.

I carry one SMB rolled and butt mounted, and I carry a lift bag in my back plate storage pack. I prefer not to put lift bags in pockets because they are bulky and can delay the access to other things I might really need.

Inside my CCR case, I even carry a life raft. I have been carrying an EPIRB and two protein bars) in a canister in front of my canister light on my waist harness webbing. However, I am considering relocating that. I still haven't come up with the best idea for that.
