Go to a photography store and get Energizer or Sanyo or another name brand.
I steer clear from energizer for the most part, i think they invest more in advertising than they do in their batteries, disposible and rechargable. I too have found that radio shack brand is not dependable enough in general, but don't have specific feedback on the equivalent battery. I am a fan of Duracell when it comes to throw away batteries and Rayovac Ultra when it comes to rechargable (though i'm not in any way suggesting using rechargable batteries in anything that is as critical as the controllers). I got about 25 hours off my first battery before replacing it, didn't wait till it gave me a low battery reading. My wife's B1 was still showing a full charge after nearly 30 hours of bottom time, until the solenoid issue, but i'm guessing that was directly related to the solenoid not drawing a full current.
