Hi Ken,

If you manage to break the cable to your shearwater electronics, then computer 1 which is the shearwater will still be running and will fire the solenoid to maintain you last set point. You will not be able to change this set point any more as obviously the shearwater handset would have done this!

Computer no 2 is totally indpendant to no1 and only controls the HUD - the HUD monitors your PPO2 across all 3 cells but would not fire the solenoid - so you would need to fly the unit manually using the o2 manual add button if you wanted to increase your set point.

All the cables on the Meg are made of some special and very expensive material that stop water travelling along them..(no idea what Im a nerd not a techie ;-) )
