Funny you mention this, I flooded a brand new one on the weekend due to the selector at the back being able to turn to calibrate without any need to to move the positive locking mechanism aside to allow it to go that way.

The unit could be turned from off to either on or calibrate just as easily, and I turned it on with out looking and set it to calibrate and jumped in. Rather less than impressed. lucky I notice it on the surface going erratic, got out and stripped it on the spot. About 3 drops inside, so hopefully the immediant strip down and cleaning saved it
