Which version of the Jetsam displays do you have? IIRC there are two types of casings and at least four types of PCB's.
I only came across this diversity when getting my 3rd generation displays in 2nd generation casings repaired.
It would seem a few additional "issues" arose with the move to the clear display casing and black twist on/off backs, most seem to have been resolved with the latest set I have. I believe the material of the clear casings has been changed and the screw holes and screws are longer as standard, the twist on/off switch also seems more robust.
More interestingly the PCB's inside are now unpluggable, I think this must be the 4th revision to the PCB's?
I'm relatively happy with this setup apart from the batteries, which seems to be a constant problem, the voltage drop with age seems to badly degrade the displays PPO2 monitoring performance and much faster than the 20hours plus which is often banded around (hence iminent arrival of Shearwater computer

)
BEN
Mine are the clear cases with twist back, I have the soldered-in electronics, though I got a spare which is the pluggable one.
One flood was due to user stupidity, another I'm not sure of the cause but may have been the black back, the 1st one which was due to a crack in the clear plastic which was then replaced under warranty.
I suspect the "counting error", where the display shows an incrementing number is due to moisture on the board. If you have to re-cal when the display is wet then no matter how well you try to dry it I suspect some moisture can be sucked in when the cal port is opened.
I'm put off the HSexplorer PO2 monitor partly because of tales I've heard about their computers flooding, and partly because it looks like it only displays one value at once.
The Subsea systems display looks nice but they don't want to tell me the input impedance which is a bit off-putting. I suspect it would be OK.
The Sartek units appear to calibrate by opening a port too, so I could get the same problem.
The Shearwater looks very nice, and gives deco information too. I think you can only calibrate in 100%O2 though, it would be nice to be able to specify the cal gas. In the red sea I was only getting 95% O2 last trip.
Do you know how you replace the battery on the Shearwater?
