Wouldn't a GCS on the dil first stage give you the same functionality but with less plumbing?

Not sure how useful isolating the solenoid is. If it sticks on, isn't the drill involving the cylinder valve good enough?

I think your current config is simple and elegant as it is. I don't think you'll gain much from the whitey idea. Sorry mate!
