Re: "clumping" of sorb

I have found that clumping is related to the reaction of converting CO2 into a solid. One thing to note, is that toward the end of a longish (3hr) dive, the clump is almost through the whole canister but it may contribute to ch anneling. Thus directing the main flow around the clump. This means less dwell time for the chemical reaction to work and less surface area to be effective. I found it mostly in 8 to 12 as opposed to coarser grain of sorb like Submarine sorb or Drager sorb.
