Well, I was um, required to check out these forums as part of my OW class because apparently this forum is awesome or something like that
Typically I'd lurk on these boards until I knew what I'd be talking about, or felt confident enough I could wing it but apparently I was also, um, required, to introduce myself. Man, my instructor is a pain in the rear. (*cough* shell-back *choke* )
Anyway, I'm Steve. I grew up along the east coast - from Long Island to Hollywood, FL, and ultimately got dragged to Nebraska by my wife. Of course I decide to wait until I'm away from all oceans before I finally take the plunge, but such is the way of things in my life. Well, while I'm new to scuba, I intend to join you fine rebreather guys and gals eventually, as soon as my wife gets over my initial obsession with the sport and the subsequent spending of my life savings on training and equipment. I mean, sure its expensive, but it's only money right? Of course, I expect that will take years, but in the meantime I'll let you guys keep me company while I hang around the shadows quietly soaking in your infinite knowledge.
