Hi Peter, welcome to Rebreather World. 
Good to have another RB80 diver onboard, questions about that unit pop up every once in while. Nothing wrong with preferring it over a cc unit, if it works for you it works. 
Post some pictures of your rebreather and custom parts, will you?
