Hi Group,

Yesterday was my first Coldwater dive (42f), except for my class which was back in October. I noticed that I had a hard time from stopping myself from exhaling thru my nose. It was a little alarming to say the least. I have heard that this was due to the cold water and with more time I will be able to stop and control this behavior. Any tips or tricks is well appreciated
When on OC I used to breathe out through my nose a lot.

I found that changing my mask worked for me. I'm not sure why. I also have heard of people who intentionally keep a few cc of water in the mask to cover the bottom of their nostrils.
