It's because it's a tube fitting and yes, I forgot to mention that you need to get the nuts and ferrules separately because the one you have will stay on the braided hose.
nut: SS-402-1
front ferrule: SS-403-1
Back ferrule: SS-404-1
You need one nut+one back ferrule + one front ferrule per tube fitting.
They usually sell the back and front ferrules by 10 "on a stick".
Nuts can be bought by the unit.
