Re: Baggage Limits

Hi Bob,
I have used American Boston to Cayman several times. They haven't treated the rebreather cylinders as a seperate item so far. I moved from an Inspiration to an Evolution to beat the 70 lb rule just in time to have them go to 50. I pack the Evolution & a 3 mil suit in the case and that weighs 47 lb. Pack all other gear & cloths in the second bag. Pack my cylinders and electroncs in my carry on for 37 lb. Last, I carry my sling tank regs and VR3 in a reg bag as my "personal item". Although TSA gets all over the cylinders at the checkpoint, I'm there to stare them down and have so far. I've read here that folfs have lost their cylinders to inspections of their checked bags so be careful. hopes this helps.
