Baggage Limits

In looking at American Airlines new baggage travel restrictions, now limited to 50 lbs per bag for international travel with $25 per bag for 50-70 lbs. I can keep my traveling weight for the rebreather to less than 70 lbs and have no big qualms about paying an extra $25 for the overweight.

However, if you look in the specialty items area on their website regarding baggage allowances, they now charge $80 for Scuba gear if you are carrying a cylinder. Also limit is one cylinder. Has anyone ran into any hassles yet on these restrictions? I'm going to be traveling again shortly with the rebreather and I usually carry the two cylinders with the rebreather due to inavailability at the dive destinations. I'm just wondering if they may play hardball and tell me I have to put the second cylinder in a 2nd bag and then they get to charge me $80 for each bag.

Anyone run into any problems on this?
