IMO a manufacturer that believes in his product should be able to give warranty to cover certain time period, no matter if it has been sold to next person or not. So could people update here 100% sure information about the warranty policies for different rebreathers (so I know which ones to strike off from the list of candidates)

Warranties are policies, made often times by those who don’t make the product.
Not so in our world (the Rbworld)
many of the companies are small and the very man who made your rebreather components is the guy who wrote the warranty.
As with any dealer who has been in the game for some time will tell you the warranty is made up of a few components ;
The relationship between the dealer and the manufacturer.
The relationship between the dealer and the customer.
The products individual parts . Ex.. electronics/handsets/scrubber
My point is that while you may see a written warranty statement , Its really about customer service and your ability to get a issue resolved by your dealer.
Your dealers job is to know what products they will support based on their relationship with the manufacturer, which is usually base on the volume the dealer has committed or produced for the manufacturer. Today the relationships are still on a very personal level.
In the case of buying a used unit , it may behoove you to find out the sellers relationship with the original seller. It’s a small world.
In closing I would also add that when you make a decision about the rebreather of choice take a step back and find a instructor that can support the unit you choose through the relationships I spoke of
(that should be more advantageous to any written warranty.)
