Re: Com Systems?

I've used Ocean Technology Systems/ comms plenty of times, either diving from their boat testing new stuff or borrowing something and using it with friends. I've used the AGA equipped with either Buddy Phone or 2010, and the former mounted in the M48 Supermask.

Either works fine, I would be happy with the Buddy Phone. Smaller, lighter and less expensive than the 2010. The 2010 has better range, multiple channels, can be plugged into a video system etc, but unless there is a need for any of it my choice would be the Buddy Phone. Within normal buddy distances there is barely a discernable difference in sound quality. Which, by the way, is suprisingly good. Even on OC, once you get into the groove avoiding to talk during bubble blowing. Diver to surface on a larger distance may be different, though, I wouldn't know. Either unit needs line of sight (no large obstructions between divers, the do work in bad viz and darkness ).

Can't help you with pictures other than the ones already in the gallery.

The only friend using his comms with a Rebreather is Rob Davie, though he's cheating.
Due to his brass pass he's elligible for the mega power mil spec unit that fries cell phones on the beach and sinks little row boats.
