| hello from Rurutu - French Polynesia Hi everybody!
Great to be a part of it! The website seems to be very exhaustive.
I live in Rurutu, French Polynesia, about 600 km South Tahiti. I refit and re-open a lodge soon – the place is fantastic for humpback whales encounters which is something we manage too. We got underwater shootings every year – BBC was there 2 years ago – and all these guys use rebreathers! Well my plan is to set up a dive resort including filling oxygen and logistic for rebreather owners.
So I just started to rebreath my air a few months ago and used the evolution machine with my buddy lolotahiti for a Christmas week in Tikehau and Rangiroa - Tuamotu Archipelago, 400 km North Tahiti. Too much! Sharks like hammerheads (mokarran and sphyrna lewiny), tons of grey, albimarginatus, limbatus + dolphins (spinner and tursiops) + rays (face to face with Mantas and Eagle), all much closer & longer than with open circuit! Waiting for the humpback whales season...
