Standing in the shallows in Dorothea Quarry, looking at the big step up to the platform, wearing a pair of 20's I found myself muttering, I need a rebreather.
Had it not been for Duncan Price who showed me what you could do with some plumbing from B&Q I would probably have wasted half of what my homebuild cost me on a KISS that would not have tried to kill me on every dive, wasn't held together by duct tape and would maybe not get kicked out of dive centres for using. Oh well, it's been more fun
All the usual reasons too, helium is just too pricey now (and wasteful) for diving OC. I made a commitment to never diving deep OC again last year and I stuck to that, even though it has meant not a lot of deep diving while I get the current incarnation to a point I'm happy with.
