Typically I carry the following for a 250fsw ocean dive w/ BT of 30 minutes give or take...

AL 40 with 16/40
AL 40 with 40%
Plus extra 15 cubic ft of 100% mounted on the top of my rig.

Dive buddy typically carries 2 AL 40's with similar mixes

I also carry two different algorithms of bailout tables in addition to the options that my computers provide. Inspiration with HH and VR-3 intergraded via 4th cell...

1) Deep stops...

2) Buhlman based that will allow me to get shallow ASAP...

My approach is to stay on the loop as long as possible depending on the issue. Will go SCR before full OC given the choice...
