Hi Rich,
my real life experience (about 20 hours on the rig) of that m/p on my Kiss is as follow:
1) I cut it to fit. It took 2 rounds. I kept the "wings" squeezed toward the inside during storage with a piece of rubber band => no ulcer but I felt like still having it in my mouth even 2-3 hours after the dive.
2) No water ingress around the stem (zip tied, model large)
3) No water ingress with loose lips and moving (moving not shaking) my head around.
4) I removed it after a while as I wasn't able to dump gas from the loop around the m/p on ascents (which I prefer over dumping through the nose) and I'm now using an orthodontic m/p, same as on all my regs.
