| Re: Penny Glover Through my membership of the Randstad Harings (BS-AC 1913) I was fortunate to know both Jacques and Penny although, with hindsight, neither as well as I should.
Jacques was, in short, a gentleman. Whether as a student receiving compliments or criticism or as an instructor gently coaxing the best out of a student he was always radiated a calm confidence that was entirely infectious. His sense of humour, always preceded by a glint in the eye, could be counted on to break the ice or make a difficult situation easy. I dived with him only once and it will always be my regret that more opportunities didn't arise.
Penny was - well Penny. My abiding memories are of her explaining her Inspiration to a group us whilst sat in the jacuzzi on the boat in Chuuk Lagoon and of her giving myself and two other divers the most intense 60 minutes I have ever spent underwater during an Advanced Instructor course in Zeeland.
Both in their way were the kind of people who make the BS-AC tick. Both will be very sadly missed by all those who knew them.
My sincerest condolences to their family and friends
