That is correct. Both 8 pin ports on the system can take either:
DS-1
Shearwater Pursuit (3 cells displayed)
VR3 (1 cell displayed)

Redundancy was the main driving factor in the whole design. You can plug in two DS-1's (as several users have), a DS-1 plus a Pursuit (as I and a number of others have), a DS-1 plus a VR3 (most popular option thus far), or even two Pursuits.
At the moment I think the DS-1 + HUD + Pursuit is the ultimate mCCR monitoring package.
