It's quite easily to open and service them, Si-tech even got instructions on how to do it. I scanned my copy. See attachment below.

Mine opened too easily too so I changed the internal spring inside it but I'm still gonna replace it with a normal bcd overpressure-/quickdumpvalve as I don't want to be able to accidentally dump any gas if squeezing through a wreck or simply just touch it during the dive. A ascent on OC will be much harder to do since I will have to dump more gas manually but I still think, with my small experience with rebreathers, that it's worth it.
