Re: 3 Cell Back Up On Inspiration

Whats a SW GF?
I ask this because I am interested in safety and the idea that deaths appear to involve, or at least implicated in, failure of some apsect of the eCCR Setpoint control system (electronics) with Inspiration units. Perhaps you would be kind enough to include PIX.
I reckon ANY sytem of having a totally redundant, basic PO2 readout would have saved many lives... and clearly as you say, gives a level of comfort to REALLY KNOW YOUR PO2, um... for sure, due to the second opinion!!!
One diver splashed-in and descended to 10M, then ascended to within 2M of the surface, lost PO2 minimum levels and blacked-out and died within minutes of splahing-in!

It also appears, like all deaths inexplicable how deaths seem to occur despite available gas in main & bailout sources and weights attached, and at or close to the surface. Many cases appear to be "pilot error", reinforcing the need to heed all safety protocols to the letter and spirit. I have no doubt that in case of errors, NO amount of gadets would save a diver, but certainly, given the right instrumentation... the chance of survival is arguably MUCH higher.
