| Re: OC bail out question I've been on dives with people who mount a small pony on the shell / side of an inspiration with slide clips (not usually larger than 3 lt), be considerate of the position for trim and profile. Typical instalation has been just behind shoulder blade on dil side / dil. If you dive dry suit you may want to save this space, and mount option for a drysuit gas other than onboard.
If you dive deep you will need a larger quantity of offboard gas than you would want to mount hard to the rig, sling would be better option.
Personally I prefer stage for reasons already stated in above posts...
Not a fan of adding 2nd stage to dil regulator, as long as you already have a air2 you already have the option of breathing this gas oc, plus open loop if you have a adv... Too many redundant options leads to confusion, keep it clean. Save the dil onboard for flushes and bail out until you can get to your off board, then carry additional gas as necessary for profile.
