Re: Spheres

Those spheres were definitely smaller than regular inconel or CCR1000 steel spheres. They looked to be around 6 inch, maybe even 5 inch diameter, and were only 160 bar fill pressure. My guess is they were old aero/astro spheres, or even accumulators from air-blast switches from an electrical switchyard.
I worked in power stations and switchyards back in the '80's and saw heaps of steel spheres from tiny like that, to 24 inch diameter.
