A frien bought his Inspo last week and i am browsing the market to find my own, My friend tells me that i scould be looking for an inspo manufactured after 05 due to upgrades. What upgrades has been made in recent time exept the vision computer? What scould i be looking for and why? My plan is to buy an older unit and complement it with a computer to calculate deco.
Is the flow stop standart on all units? Are there any models i scould avoid?
I will take my course this summer, hope im not asking too many stupid questions

I think the main thing is to be sure of what you're buying. I got a fantastic deal on my Inspo and then replaced the handset modules, looms, solenoid, and switched to the new coaxial connectors for the sensors. I didn't know what I was looking for and it turned out the wires in the looms were badly corroded from the sensors right to the handsets and had to be replaced. I was told that reusing the old handset modules should be alright, but they could crap out so I elected to replace them at the same time rather than have the unit down for repairs twice. The solenoid was shot. I didn't mind putting the money into the unit because I had gotten such a good deal on it and I did know ahead of time that the unit wasn't perfect and hadn't been dived for two years. But if you were to pay $5000 or $6000 for one and had to make the same repairs, you might as well buy new.
In retrospect, I probably should have bought a HH for it when it required such major repairs, but that's something I'll look at investing in in the future.
As I said, be sure of what you're buying and if you don't know what you're looking at, have someone qualified take a look at it before you buy. Caveat emptor!
Cheers, and safe, bubbleless dives,
Al.
