Re: For the machining gurus who've done a DSV...

I molded mine from PVC. Started w/ a 1" (IIRC) fitting and cut off the part I needed. I then cleaned up the bit in the lathe. The mold I made from a nice scrap of oak I had handy. I carefully cut/ filed/ sanded the shape I wanted. I then drilled two long holes for alignment pins (16 penny nails w/ heads cut off). Oak was then cut down the center & pins installed into one side. Round bit heated w/ heat gun till slightly squishy. Put into open mold then mold closed in vice. Cooled part bonded into PVC body w/ 3M ScotchWeld 2216. Mouth bite is Poseidon.
