I have on numerous occasions, spoken and corresponded with some of these companies. They are off cause all working hard to get their baby ready to roll.
The problem is most often with the appetizers, the coming soon, picture this... etc.
If they give you a hint of whats up, tomorrow (which is always nice to know), they need to follow suit. Bring on the data, update the appetizer...
When they do not, they just give you the feeling that either they don't care to elaborate their claims, or they simply lied to look as if they are up there; leading the field.

I have a lot of respect for the people that are working towards building the safe rebreather. The systems of the future. Not an easy task indeed.
Very complicated task, to design a system that will appear to be simple, but with the requirement of safety, will be intensely complicated inside.
Redundancy, robustness, ease of use, failsafe...
They are after all building a one-person submarine in a shue-box.
