How about he wakes up inside the wreck, blacked out, wearing an Optima with an underwater MP3 player on. Playing on it is that creepy voice from the movie Saw, "I want to play a game... you have 13 minutes remaining on your scrubber, and 1 liter of o2 left in your cylinder....."
