| Re: Scrubber bypass Ida-64 OK I decided to check out the plumbing in mine. At first glance I thought the chances of mouse lungs McWilliam blowing off one of the conceptions were about the same as me orally over inflating a truck tire. After a little checking I found the connections put on with twine were sound however there was also a connection with wire, and two of the wire strands were broken. This means the hose was held on with tape and friction. The IDA 72 uses a corrugated hose to do this job. If your looking for something from the world of diving that is off the shelf that does the job try a nine inch "big bore" hose. They were used on a number of buoyancy compensators. The hose is the right length to fit without kinking and has one inch diameter cuffs at each end (making it nearly a foot long) for clamping, glueing whatever and the inside diameter is as large as or larger than the hose on the rest of the system so there is nothing to impede gas flow.
