I think that it's a very nice solution for those who would like to have 2 handsets in their units (I know I do).
I have no interest in a second handset (actually third since the vission already has two sepearte controlers). I use the Shearwater as a backup computer for deco only. Don't want another controller.

Although I cannot really see a true redundancy in this since the handset is connected to the same Oxygen cells in the unit. I currently have my VR3 connected to a 4th cell in my unit which I think it offers also a good solution.
Naw this is better. Monitoring three cells is better than just one. I am almost tempted to use the fourth hole for an extra cell and have the shearwater monitor two of the same and one different cell. Plus any solution that includes a VR3 is not much of a solution IMHO.
